Due to health regulations, we are operating at a limited capacity. At this time the following limits will be implemented per session:
Lap Swim - 8 people max (1 per lane)
Water Walking - 4 people max
Lazy River Walking - 4 people max
Reservations are required and will be held for 10 minutes into the session. No shows will forfeit the session and the spot will be open for drop-in patrons.

COVID Safety Practices
Here at Selah Aquatic Center, we are focused on safe operational practices. This includes enhanced cleaning protocols, physical distancing measures, mask and other PPE usage, and other policies across all aspects of our operations.
The facility will be cleaned regularly after each session. Additionally, we ask that all guests practice social distancing and good hygiene. All individuals over the age of 2 will be asked to wear masks when in our indoor facility.
At this time, Department of Health guidelines do not allow for recreational swim or rentals. The Selah Aquatic Center will continue to carefully monitor COVID-19 and all associated local, state, and federal guidelines. We remain committed to keeping our staff, guests, and community safe.

Preschool Lessons
Preschool 1
Skills: Introduction to water, basic water skills, and water safety. All skills are assisted
To Pass Level: Blow bubbles with face in water for 5 seconds, assisted floating on front and back
Preschool 2
Skills: Floating, swimming and kicking motions, treading water, water skills, water safety skills
To Pass Level: Blow bubbles with face in water for 5 seconds, assisted floating on front and back
Preschool 3
Skills: Float independently, roll over, crawl stroke, jump in deep water, tread water, skill combinations
To Pass Level: 10 second independent back and front float, swim 10 yards, roll from front/back/front
Elementary Lessons
Elementary Level 1
Skills: Float on back & front, face submersion, breath control, kicking, arm strokes, basic water safety
To Pass Level: Front/back float position, face in water eyes open for 5 seconds, kick and arm strokes
Elementary Level 2
Skills: Independent floating on front and back, arm strokes, kicking movements, basic treading water motions, water safety skills
To Pass Level: Float for 5 seconds on front and 15 seconds on back, roll front/back and back/front, swim front and back 20 seconds (all skills must be performed unassisted)
Elementary Level 3
Skills: Elementary backstroke, side breathing with crawl stroke, side stroke kick, dolphin kick, breaststroke kick
To Pass Level: Front crawl 15 yards, back float and survival float for 30 seconds, tread deep water for 30 seconds, elementary backstroke 15 yards, scissor, breaststroke, and dolphins for 10 yards (technique is part of passing requirements)
Elementary Level 4
Skills: Endurance & technique in all six strokes (butterfly, elementary backstroke, front and back crawl, sidestroke, and breaststroke) and other aquatic skills
To Pass Level: 25 yards front crawl and elementary back, 15 yards back crawl, side stroke, butterfly, breaststroke, survival and back float for 1 minute each, tread water for 2 minutes
Elementary Level 5
Skills: Further refines endurance & technique in all six strokes (butterfly, elementary backstroke, front and back crawl, sidestroke, and breaststroke) and other aquatic skills, completion of this class will prepare participants for swim team or lifeguard training

Children 6 years old and under must be supervised by a parent or caretaker 14 years old or older.

No running, pushing, or horseplay.

No glass or ceramic containers inside the fenced pool area.

No food, drink, gum, or tobacco in the pool.

No diving in shallow water.

Do not use the pool with a contagious illness or open wound.

Showers required before entering the pool for all programs (including swim team, swim lessons,
water exercise, lap swim, rec swim, and pool rentals). -
Swimmers in the deep end must pass a swim test.

Diaper changing on the pool deck is prohibited.

Anyone lacking control of defecation shall wear a water resistant swim diaper and water resistant swim wear.

All wearable flotation devices must have visible Coast Guard approved label.

Floatation devices must not interfere with visibility. Selah Aquatic Center management reserves the right to ask for any device to be removed for any reason.

Offensive or lewd behavior is prohibited.

Any person verbally or physically harassing or abusing any guest or staff will result in immediate removal from the facility without refund.

No alcohol, tobacco products, vaping products, drugs, or firearms are allowed inside or immediately outside the pool area.

Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave.

Any patrons repeatedly disobeying pool rules will be asked to leave.
